Hi, I’m Raphael - the mind behind Capsterpiece.

It all started with a pretty simple idea: bikes are often optimized down to the last detail. Carbon here, watts there, tire pressure dialed in perfectly. And yet, sometimes that one little detail that brings real joy is missing.

I ride road bikes, mountain bikes, and gravel bikes myself - sometimes pushing hard, sometimes just to unwind, and sometimes with way too much coffee in my system. I’m based in the Basel region, but my bike has taken me all over the world: onto trails, mountain passes, and gravel roads, through cities, and on unforgettable adventures.

Along the way, I realized that cycling is beautiful, but sometimes a bit too serious. That’s exactly where Capsterpiece came from. I wanted to create something that adds personality to your bike. Something small - something that doesn’t make you faster, isn’t more aerodynamic, and certainly doesn’t save watts - but does put a smile on your face.

That’s how the first valve caps were born: small, 3D-printed eye-catchers inspired by things I love or things that simply belong on a bike. Coffee, snacks, animals, everyday classics, and a few totally unnecessary ideas that fit perfectly for that very reason.

Every Capsterpiece valve cap sends a message: your bike shouldn’t just function—it should have character, too. Capsterpiece is for anyone who loves cycling but never forgets to have fun along the way.
